Claudia was born and raised in Guatemala. She came to Chicago 18 years ago and has 3 beautiful bilingual daughters.  She started with a degree in Industrial Design,  but soon realized her passion was in education and built a career as a teacher after that. She  has now more than 20 years of experience working with students of all ages.

Claudia has worked with children as young as four months and as old as sixteen years old. A lot of her experience besides languages has been teaching Art to kids of all ages.  

She has mastered the art of teaching Spanish to Elementary school kids and currently trains our team of educators on how to use the Lango curriculum with different grades and leveles of fluency.

She has also been an instructor for Enrichment Techniques, Music, Drama, Science and has more than 10 years of experience teaching Sign Language to babies and Toddlers as well as elementary school kids.

Claudia became a part of the LANGO team in 2012, as a teacher and She is now the proud Manager of Lango Chicago.

Melissa is from Venezuela. Everybody calls her Meli or Mel. Melissa has more than 15 years of experience in-between  teaching English in her country and teaching Spanish in Chicago. She has taught children and adults in schools, private lessons, and at various institutes. Melissa has been a teacher at Lango for 7 years now! In her free time She likes watching movies, photography, reading mystery books and practicing yoga. Her favorite food is Italian.

Arturo is a proud father and an experienced teacher from Cuba. He holds a bachelor in  Elementary education and  has many years of experience.

He has worked teaching children of all ages and is the Master when it comes to helping students to build literacy skills and teaching heritage speakers.

When He is not busy teaching he produces and hosts a radio show!

Odeth Reinoso is a Cuban-born photographer and teacher currently living in Chicago, Illinois.

She initially trained for twenty years as a classical guitar player and taught music to kids of all ages before taking up photography.

She has a Master of Fine Arts in Photography from Columbia College  in Chicago. 

As a photographer, She has exhibited her work in the United States and abroad and now teaches her skill at a couple of local universities.

She has been a Spanish and music teacher with kids for the past few years and she is an expert handleling groups of different ages.

We are lucky to have her as a Spanish teacher at Lango Chicago where she gets to share her language and culture to kids all over the city.

Odeth absolutely loves sharing her knowledge with kids of all ages. She is fun,  energetic, artistic, and her lessons usually reflect all these talents and her passion for hispanic culture! 

     
  Sofia Fadragas

Sofia is a wonderful teacher, She was born in Cuba and also studies Biomedical science.

She is young and energetic and  loves dancing and singing with her students. Her classes are full of games making her one of the most engaging and fun teachers at LANGO.

She is the daughter of another one of our beloved  and most experienced teachers so we know the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!

     
  Jennifer Guachichulca

Jennifer is the master when it comes to creating new games and coming up with faboulous activities. She has a lot of exerience with early childhood and young elementary groups.

She is patient and fun. Her lesson plans are always detailed and engaging and she builds up  students confidence in the language in a way that schools often mention this fact and often request her expertise.

We call her the PreK whisperer because she connects so well with young students! Other staff and teachers tend to love her as well!
